I recently had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Rob Smith of Social Media Video Marketing. With the industry a buzz with the need for more properties to manage we were discussing the importance of local marketing and how it ties to property management companies.

Last October we attended the NARPM National Convention and Trade Show, and after talking to dozens of property managers the trend seemed clear: "We need more business." Directory sites such as Allpropertymanagement.com, Rentlist.com and our directory on FreeRentalSite.com are powerful ways to drive owners to your property management business, but what about local marketing?

There are many ways to target your local market to drive you more property management business. One such way is Google Places. With Google Places, you can target keywords and traffic from Google and show up on Google's business listings, which are higher than the organic results.
